ABOUT AARON RILEY

I am a Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst with a strong passion for cybersecurity and a commitment to continuous learning. With multiple degrees in Information Technology—specializing in cybersecurity and information assurance, networking, and programming—I have built a career focused on understanding and mitigating cyber threats.

I began my IT career as a Cybersecurity Analyst for the State of Missouri’s Office of Cyber Security, where I gained hands-on experience in enterprise security orchestration and incident response. I later joined Cofense as an Intelligence Analyst, tracking phishing-delivered threats and providing attribution-based mitigation strategies to customers. Currently, I work at Target as a Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst, where I specialize in tracking the evolving malware threat landscape.

Throughout my career, I have developed custom security tools that remain in use across previous organizations and authored multiple articles analyzing malware and phishing campaigns targeting specific industries. With experience as both a producer and consumer of intelligence reporting, I have a deep understanding of intelligence tradecraft.

Beyond my professional roles, I am an active speaker at cybersecurity conferences and provide educational presentations on various information security topics to organizations of all sizes. I am dedicated to advancing cybersecurity awareness and contributing to the industry through research, innovation, and knowledge sharing.
